Greg at Lenggries
We all got a weekend in Munich as Greg had a work trip, and Lena and Andrea managed to get a good price for a flight along.
We stayed with Dee and Martin, which was a good chance to catch up with them and other old friends, and also gave Greg a rare chance to go snowboarding on Saturday. Greg and Martin took the BOB bahn down to Lenggries and caught the ski bus to the slope, and enjoyed a long day of sun and snow!
Other fun things included a big brunch at Cafe Neuhausen on Sunday, and time to help Dee and Martin think about their wedding.
It was fun to be back, Lena now can say the word Munich (and much more of course), and we all had a great time.
One of Lena’s best friends lives just a couple of houses down the road, and is half-South African, half-French and of course all English just like Lena (except Lena doesn’t have the paperwork to prove it).
They get up to all sorts of fun games together including playing scarecrows, and sleeping bunnies.

Alody’s mum and dad come round and drink coffee, tea and wine whilst the girls play.
Alody has her own family webpage with her little brother Timo and posted some of this first here: Lena’s friend Alody.
A recent cleanup of my computer uncovered this little gem. I call it the Lena Collage – showing a collage of pics from Lena’s 1st year.

This is on our last trip to Australia. We did a cruise in the Whitsunday’s and stopped off on Whitsunday Island at Whitehaven beach. It is the whitest sand I have ever seen, a lovely shallow beach for easy swimming and running around to enjoy a lovely hot Aussie day.
Lena turned 2 just before Christmas, so we celebrated her birthday in style, visiting Odd’s Farm to feed the sheep and look at the goats and rabbits. Lena had a top time and had trouble containing her excitement on the night before.

Christmas reprised this excitement and now we know what Christmas is all about (Presents!).
Put together the days were fab, as was the whole break!
I have a small gallery of pictures uploaded here.
No – we haven’t just rushed off to go skiing all together. This actually happened in 2004 but as I am the process of putting this site back together, I thought I’d upload a few pictures of it to start of with.

Hi there frequent visitors to Holmesmacleod.com. I am very sorry for the loss of transmission over the past 3 weeks. Our web presence host disappeared and we only noticed on Boxing Day. I will be popping all of our pictures back up here, but in the meantime I have just put the site up quickly so you know what has happened.
Happy New Year everyone and catch up soon!
